synopsis

Alfonso Malul is a 73 year old lead dancer in a flamenco troupe for senior citizens, which rehearses in a Tel Aviv suburb.  After mourning the unexpected death of his wife, he begins to obsessively court Sima, a dancer in the troupe, to the displeasure of his children, who are unwilling to accept the fact that their father might be interested in another woman. Soon after the big performance in the Tel-Aviv dance center, we find Alfonso breaking up with Sima and starting his search for a new woman.

The film reveals the unfamiliar and often overlooked inner world of the elderly community, and provides a fresh look at our timeless, ever hopeful, search for someone to love.
